What is Ultimate IP Changer/

Ultimate IP Changer provides a way to store TCP/IP profiles and change your TCP/IP settings. The application has the ability to detect multiple network cards and store configurations for future use. This software provides an ideal option for those using mobile computers that need to adjust settings for several possible locations. The option to change profiles without needing to reboot the computer provides users with added convenience. The software lets you name each location to make it easy to connect to different profiles, at home, at work or in the local coffee shop or airport.

The program is most useful for people that own laptops and have to switch between multiple configurations. Desktop users may find that the program doesn't provide the additional security protocols necessary to install multiple VPN connections. The software also doesn't provide as many options as a full-featured commercial IP changing software program. The program allows the user to change the IP address, but it doesn't come with any built-in support for proxy or VPN providers. Users must locate this information on their own.

The developers of the software aimed to create a program with advanced functionality that is suitable for a a wide range of users. Whether beginning or advanced, the software provides configurable options based on your needs. Through a series of configuration dialogs, you can easily see which networks and cards are available to you, and you can configure all of the settings independently. When you no longer need a connection, you can remove the button with a click of a button. After configuring the profiles, you can select the profile for your current location from a simple drop-down menu.

When you launch the application, you can view a list of Network Cards in the sidebar. Click the plus sign next to any network card to view additional profiles for each card. You can store an unlimited number of profiles by clicking the "Add Profile" button. When you need to delete a profile, simply select the profile you want to remove and click the "Delete Profile" button. Select any profile and complete the available fields for the profile in question. You can change the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS addresses, WINS addresses and set up information for a proxy server. When you're done, click the "Save" or "Apply" button to confirm the changes. You can also remove a network card by selecting the "Remove Network Card" button.
